Peacock Chowki / Decorative Wooden Seat

This hand-carved low platform is made from Tella Poniki wood found only in Eastern Ghats forests, known for the ease it gives, which carving, lightweight, smoothness, and durability even after drying. The painting on the block is painted using natural paint from tamarind seeds, which is a technique unique to Kondapalli that provides the colors a distinctive matte finish.
