Art Workshops

Join our artisans as they teach lessons on cultural embroidery and traditional techniques passed down for generations in all parts of India, and learn about other practices and perfect their work. Educational sessions are held both locally and virtually.

Upcoming Workshops

The 2026 Kala Showcase is our largest event of the year: an opportunity for artisans to share their works with the world! Attend for booths with varied pieces from our heritage, short lessons from artisans on how to create Indian jewelry and art, and various fundraisers to support Kala's financial literacy conferences and programs.

The next Kala Showcase takes place in December 2026 across various locations in India, with online sessions open internationally. More details coming soon.

2026 Theme: FABRICS

Historically, cotton and silk served as India's fabric base and major export. From lotus patterns to palazzo pants, traditional clothing has changed in style. Our 2026 Kala Showcase will display these varieties in style through patterned fabrics, sarees, dupattas, lehengas, and other clothing.
